Harry Potter for younger child

My Daughter is 5 and as older sister is reading Harry Potter she also wants to! I’m just wondering is there any books like Harry Potter for younger kids? She’s only started to read so is not confident at reading yet. I’ve tried googling but can’t find anything, I wonder if anyone has come across anything that would help? It’s her birthday in 2 weeks and I think this would be a lovely gift.

What about the worst witch? I think that's aimed at younger kids

I'd let her crack on! It's unlikely she'll have the comprehension skills at this stage to be scared of some of the more perilous bits. I'd definitely let her read the first one.

I know Enid Blyton is out of favour now but The Enchanted Wood and The Faraway Tree are lovely fantasy stories for younger children.

Came here to say what's already said: The Worst Witch (set in a magic school).
There is a box set of Enid Blyton magic books for about £15 with the faraway tree and wishing chair books. Winnie the Witch also comes in little paperbacks as well as picture books I think.

I started reading Harry Potter to my son when he was 5.

He is 7 and now reads on his own, but I still read Harry Potter to him nightly. We are currently finishing the 5th book.
