As it's stupid.

Right, I feel we need to address this... :)

AstonMartha · 21/06/2024 07:44

I have never heard anyone do this.

Yesterday I met a man who added mate to the end of every sentence.

Laiste · 21/06/2024 07:44

I know, right?

Emmerald · 21/06/2024 07:44

About time someone said this, right.

NigelHarmansNewWife · 21/06/2024 07:46

Right, so, umming and ah-ing: all annoying fillers that add nothing.

NigelHarmansNewWife · 21/06/2024 07:46

Add mate and innit to the list.

Gingernaut · 21/06/2024 07:47

Right
Yeah
You get me
You see
You hear
You hear me
You see what I mean

All added as either affirmations or questions

Hate it. Hate it. Hate it.

Lots.of things are more annoying..

Like people.sayong,
"Know what I mean?"

And people that 'like' all the time,
"Like I was sitting like over there and like this girl came in and like sat on the other side"

And why do so many people.spin around these days?
"And I turned around and said.."

"Right, someone stop turning around and sit like face to face, you know what I mean?"

DanielGault · 21/06/2024 08:09

If there's going to be a campaign against anything, it should be against starting every sentance with 'so'. That is seriously annoying.

brrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrr · 21/06/2024 08:11

It’s annoying but pales into insignificance in the shadow of those people who gasp a last breathy ingressive “bye!” on the phone before hanging up.

They’re called “byesnatchers” and there’s a compartment in my C130 reserved just for them.
