To not understand how to use Reddit?

I've got reddit on my phone and always hear people talking about it and I'm not sure how to go about using it.

This is triggered by the recent rabbit hole thread, and I'd love to go down some of them on reddit but I'm lost.

Use search to find whatever sub Reddit you want, then join. :)

Reddit had lots of boards called subreddits. Subreddits start with the prefix r/ and are about all sorts of subjects ranging from tv shows to medical issues to politics.

I didn’t see the thread in question but search the topic that you’re interested in (say Donald Trump) and it won’t be long until you find the hardcore people discussing QAnon if that’s the sort of thing that you’re after.

I haven't tried reddit on my phone but on my laptop it's pretty straight forward. Maybe check it out on a laptop. BTW the askwomanover30 is a good sub reddit, or at least I think so.

I find it difficult to find the new stuff in the subreddit- unlike on Mumsnet where you can bookmark/ save and it takes you to updates

Only just joined myself and a bit horrified by the Roast Me posts - not seen them up until yesterday. Seems to be sado masochists wanting people to be nasty to them about their appearance online
On the plus side some of the health subs are good - you can use the search bar at the top and find them.

Not sure about the whole karma thing enabling you to post on some of them though - I rather innocuously wanted to recommend a plant to someone asking advice on their front garden and was refused!

I find it a bit confusing too, so I just read the threads and don't really respond.
