My DS will start reception in September and has been in school nursery since last September.
I'm thinking of volunteering to be class rep. I'm pretty outgoing and sociable and we are newer to the area and I'm really looking to make connections for my son.
I already know a lot of the parents and the school etc.
We've had various play dates throughout the year and been to many parties.
I go to all school functions and basically show up a lot.
Some of the mums I'm friendly with have been winding me up, as they think I should be class rep.
It's not really in my nature to be such a keeno. But like I said, I really want to make connections for my son.
I've set up some WhatsApp groups and organised some play dates with a large group of boys who all play together. This kind of stuff usually is not my style at all.
I don't particularly want to do the class rep thing, but I'm thinking maybe it will help.
Any experience ?
