Diagnosed with diabetes, what to do?

I was diagnosed with type 2 diabetes yesterday. It’s been ongoing untreated a while and I had gestational diabetes in 2019. It’s got to the point I constantly feel tired and dizzy, and the past month or so I’ve had extreme thirst with nothing quenching it, and nausea and vomiting if I’m not eating every 1-2 hours.

I have been put on metformin which I collected today. I also have PCOS so apparently this will help both.

However today I’ve got a banging headache and have been so dizzy and thirsty, I’m sweating but my head feels cool, and despite eating I’ve had nausea all day.

I’m just not sure what to do regarding calling the doctor because maybe I just need time to get used to the metformin and it’s very very early days?

I’m just wondering if anyone has any advice with this. Thank you x

I think its always a good thing to call the doctor if you're concerned about your symptoms.

My DP successfully reversed pre-diabetes this year by stopping eating between the hours of 5.30pm - breakfast time, as well as cutting out the obvious sugary things. It's changed his life and he's lost over 30kg.
