To ask what happens when airline strikes?

Due to fly with Aer Lingus over next couple of weeks. From Dublin. Worried about the threat of strikes impacting our holiday. We have everything sorted accommodation etc, and have worked hard all year for this holiday. I’ve no experience with airline strikes. If it happens, do they rebook us on a new flight? What’s the timeframe usually if so? Also we booked emergency exit rows as someone I fly with feels more comfortable sitting there with the space. If it’s another plane they might not even have the seat configuration. A little thing, but makes a big difference to someone I’m travelling with. Just stressed now and can’t look forward to holiday with the threat of having no flight. Any experiences?

@CodenamePliskin 🙄 why bother to take up your time to write this? I asked do they rebook on another flight usually…….I didn’t ask for the definition of a strike.

the best response is not to ask mumsnet but the airline themselves ? at least your intel is upto date and concrete rather than the opinion's on here that may be wrong

unless your fishing for stories ??

@CodenamePliskin The airline don’t have updates yet! A lot of passengers concerned about impact. Not sure what your second comment means; yes of course I want people’s experience of similar strikes, where possible? Nothing wrong with that.

@RoomOfRequirement 👏🏻 Thank you so much. I’m glad yours went ahead. You’re right it’s annoying, as it’s the anticipation of the holiday that is one of the best parts! Keep your fingers crossed for you.

let me ask a question do you want accurate information that is accurate from the airline or do you ask for opionions about what has happened previously but could be different ?

besides the op has a couple of weeks yet before the holiday

so the logical conclusion based on sherlocks logically thinking, is fishing for stories

dont see how pointing out the obvious = troll
