This is a really terrible idea.

Please consider the impact on local communities of second home owners / holiday home owners. This is a problem which is eroding life and, ironically the economy, in the rural province I'm from in my home country. It's such a shame.
There is only one thing that's worse: the overseas non-resident landlord who uses the holiday home as an investment and lets it to holiday makers on a weekly basis. Terrible.

And, as @StripedTomatoes says, the climate won't thank you.
