MIL is a narcissist who DH and I have not had contact with for four months. We did not cut her off, she flits in and out of our lives. She is “all or nothing”
Chatting in the car earlier with DH about MIL - DH revealed that a few years ago MIL went to see a “psychic” who predicted that DS when he was a teenager would say - “I want to live with Grandma” DH said he couldn’t tell me at the time as he knew how much I “hated her”
So…wtf!
When our son was a toddler and up to the age of 6 or 7 she was a master manipulator and would turn DS against my parents and against me.
She was so dangerous that I feared if DH and I split up that she would try and manipulate DS into wanting to live with her.
She is a pathological liar and DH and I have witnessed the huge lies she tells to strangers about her fantasy life.
In short her psychic’s prediction about our son does not surprise me yet terrifies me as to what she is capable of.
AIBU to say that that is an odd statement for a psychic to make? AIBU to think she made the whole thing up? I need to put her behaviour behind me but this has triggered loads of bad memories.
