Had an appointment this morning with a physiotherapist at our GP surgery. They are a First contact practitioner . No idea what that means but they were fine.
I had been referred to the physio dept at the hospital several months ago but (as luck would have it ) could not attend as I was away on holiday when the invitation to attend came by post so a further referral was necessary. I explained this and was only expecting a few questions as a formality . The physio advised that a referral was not necessary just now and gave me some ideas of exercises to try over the next few weeks . If they weren't any help then of course further referral would be made.
Later today I received a text from the PCT (Primary Care Trust) requesting that I complete a survey about the appointment, I completed with all sections marked as 'good' as it was fine.
Good in this survey is midway with Very good, excellent and outstanding as further options.
I competed the survey and I was immediately (within seconds) called by the physio who said they were checking something as the system showed a problem on my record. They asked further questions about the referral and exercise options which I confirmed again.
I was left feeling quite unsettled with this exchange . I had no problem with the physio but would rarely mark anyone as outstanding based on a simple appointment .
Anyone else had such a weird contact?
