Parcel delivered to wrong address

I ordered an item online and paid via PayPal, with express delivery, but the tracking showing delivery points vaguely to somewhere on a road a few streets away from mine and a photo of a back garden which I don't recognise.

I've emailed the seller, as Royal Mail suggests the sender has to deal with this, but have had no response.

Do I just open a PayPal case for a refund or leave a public review to get someone to do something?

How long have you given the seller to respond?

Since Monday. I paid extra to have it delivered that day and still don't have it.

Did you contact the seller on Monday? I only ask because in similar circumstances I’ve been impatient when I’ve not got an immediate response. Sometimes the seller hasn’t gotten around to seeing the email, or has been away for a few days. I understand your annoyance though, I’ve felt the same.

Yes, I let them know as soon as I checked for the parcel and found the issue with the tracking.

Didn't expect an immediate reply, but I do need the item and for them to be involved in contacting royal mail to find out the issue, as I obviously didn't post it myself.

Raise it on PayPal and provide your evidence, they will soon respond

You have given less than 2 working days for the seller to contact you. I think they make you wait longer than that, probably 2 weeks or so as it might still turn up. If it's tracked the seller can get a refund from royal mail but again this will take some time.

It is tracked. Which is how I know it's been delivered somewhere else.

I can't quite tell where and I'm not knocking on all doors up and down the neighbouring roads, but it's not in still in the delivery system somewhere and likely to turn up any day.
