Is chicken pox bad for adults with heart conditions?

Hello,

I went to visit my parents in law yesterday with my partner. His niece was there with her parents. I picked her up for a cuddle and twirled her round, played dolls with her and did her hair. One on one time for approx 1 hour 30.

I didn't know she had chicken pox. My MIL or the parents didn't tell me. I found out today through my SIL.

I then went to visit my father who has weak heart and weak immune.

I expressed today how upset I was. They had no remorse and proceeded to tell me to not speak to me.

Can my father get it and will he become sick

Has your Father ever had chicken pox? If so he is very unlikely to get it.
Even if he hasn't then even if he'd been the one to play with the child he may not get it. (I went through an epidemic as a child, several times playing with children who succumbed the next day, but didn't get it.)
But on the other hand I did catch it from just talking to the father of a child who had it at a Barn Dance. When I was pregnant.

As an adult it can be nasty. So if he has any symptoms he should make sure his GP knows. And there are things they can do.

And your other relatives are being unreasonable.
