Sorry to be jumping on the AIBU bandwagon for traffic.

I had my first child 7 months ago, and have recently had a very tender bladder and issues with needing to wee a lot overnight - but only very recently, say the last month. I’m religious with pelvic floor exercises and have never had a leak.

Going to the doctors recently and they’ve said they think I might have a bladder prolapse. Had a look down there myself (lying and standing) and I really can’t see what they mean - wish I’d asked at the time!

If anyone out there has one, can you see it externally? Can you feel it (with fingers) internally? How has it made you feel? I understand some people feel a lot of heaviness but I’ve nothing like that. I have no discomfort in my vulva area, just tenderness in my abdomen and feeling like I need to wee. Interestingly that’s actually got a lot better recently too - I was given a very short antibiotic prescription and I’ve been taking some cystitis related supplements, as I’ve had a lot of issues with cystitis in the past - on this occasion dip test was negative, but I don’t necessarily think that means anything.

I’d really appreciate anyone willing to share their experience, as I’m not convinced by the examination I had.

I have a mild cyctocele from after my first birth, after a years worth of pelvic floor physio it became no longer an issue per se - I never leaked just felt like a tampon was in wrong constantly and for the first 4m I needed to wee a lot.
A LOT in my dark days I actually found that of women have them and don't even know about it, the majority resolve in the first year post baby and become just lax muscles.
Pelvic floor exercises were actually making my symptoms worse (I was hypertonic) once I stopped my symptoms got much better. I now, 5 years and another baby later, use deep core exercises and squats etc to work the muscles a little more naturally.
Try not to worry too much and do not Google, it's a rabbit hole 😜

I have a cystocele ... and have had it for 27 years, when my last child was born. No discomfort, but I need to wee frequently. I have never wet myself .
I sometimes find I have to empty my bladder in two goes... wee, stand up, move around, wait a couple of minutes, and then go again, as it doesn't empty properly in one go.
I've learned to live with it !
