Maxi dress lengths have changed?!

This has been bothering me for awhile now and I guess it must be because I am just hideously unfashionable

But didn't maxi dresses used to be longer??

They all swing around on top of my ankles ( I'm only 5'5" and that's where they are on models ) and my calves are too chunky for that to be a good look

I want floor length maxis! Any tips of where to get?

Oh many's the time I've tripped over my own maxi dress going up the stairs. Or driven across town with my skirt caught in the car door and flapping in the breeze 🙄

I am 5ft 3 if you're happy to shop at boohoo I find everything on there very long. I have yet to buy a maxi dress or trousers that dont have inches upon inches trailing on the floor.

I'm 5'7 and really want a decent maxi, what shops do you get yours from if you don't mind me asking?

I thought the same, when a dress is advertised as a maxi and the picture shows it at least 6” above the ankle!

Another bugbear why are trousers and jeans referred to as a trouser or a jean these days! does my head in 😂

I'm 4'11 and heartily welcome the new maxi dress length.

Will it go away next year?!
