To much prefer having older DCs but have a secret nostalgia

For how ordinary things can be so much fun when they're little!

I'm not really one to be sentimental about the young DC years. Mine are teens now and I enjoy hanging out with them and chatting, been able to do grown up things etc. However I noticed the Euro themed stuff in the supermarket the other day and was thinking how we'd have had the bunting up and themed tea parties etc and just generally had so much fun around it. Now, my 18yr old will, r go and watch in the pub with his team-mates (rightly so) and the other 2 aren't at all interested in football.

My photo memories from 2012 often pop up and we just spent the whole summer dressing up in red, white and blue and having mini parties for the torch relay, the jubilee, the Olympics etc!

Not sure what my AIBU is to be fair but does anyone feel like this without having a particular hankering for the baby/toddler years?
