Cam Work?

Tryingmybest14 · 05/06/2024 17:34

Single mum of 2 and struggling.

Really considering cam work (anonymously) for extra cash. My friend does it and all seems ok.

My worry is that I work in a school 30hours a week, I work in admin. I’m worried that if I do decide to start the camming for extra cash that this could jeopardise my current job?

im aware some people don’t agree with camming and I respect that but I’m sick of being skint.

I'd rather be skint and have my dignity.

I don't think it's a great idea if you work in a school. I remember when I was in high school, one of the teachers was involved (ran) a Bondage type sex club. I remember the morning it was plastered all over the newspaper. I felt very sorry for her, she left her job.

I highly doubt you'll make much money to be honest.... especially if you're anonymous. Why would someone pay you when they could just as easily pay someone else who they can actually see. There's absolutely tons of women doing this...you'll have a lot of competition, won't make much money and feel pretty grim.

bonzaitree · 05/06/2024 20:43

I don’t think it’s a good plan.

Im sure you’ve thought about other less drastic options for making money.

@Illpickthatup I mean, it is a BIT different.

No different to teachers who go out and get wasted at the weekend.

Yea, going out and getting drunk with mates is TOTALLY the same as getting paid to strip and perform sex acts on webcam for money.

A night out is not the same as webcam prostitution.

Like pps, I am wondering what you think just your body and no face on show, completely anonymous, cam work is going to have to involve in order to make you so in demand that you make a lot of money from this line of work.

If you aren't showing your face at all or marketing yourself as a personality, you'll probably need to do something quite extreme to get the attention you need to earn a lot of money.

Not many people will pay to see a naked girl just happily prancing in front of a camera with no face on show tbh. It won't earn enough to be worth it. It will probably have to be a bit niche / weird no?

I'd look for a full time, admin role. Are you only doing school hours just now or do you work over holidays too? Pay is usually crap at schools because of the holidays. Can you find a way to work more.

I work in an office away from any children, I have no direct contact them.

as I said I would be anonymous, not show my face etc.

I don’t think I’ll do it, the extra cash is certainly not worth risking my job over, it’s hard as I can’t work anymore hours as I have no help with the kids

You are still employed by a school.

btw I have no issue with camera work but I dunno how it would work with your current profession

@Illpickthatup I mean, it is a BIT different.

I mean it's different but neither should be the workplaces business unless it's affecting the person's work. I reckon teachers being hungover has more impact on their work than if they've been on cam the night before. Also they're probably more likely to bump into kids parents in the local when they're completely wrecked than they would be meeting a parent online doing cam.

StMarieforme · 05/06/2024 21:06

There was a man in Norway (I think) who discovered that he'd been getting his rocks off with his own daughter via camming. That's the reality.

I toyed briefly with the idea and asked a friend who does camming. She said no one will pay if they don't see your face. It's hard work and you have to plug yourself relentlessly across platforms. She's semi successful and most people know what she does, including her parents, so she can't be blackmailed. But also, I think she'll struggle if she ever wants a normal job in the future.

What about children's father paying for his children.

Do it, wear a sexy eye mask and use a fake name. Nobody can prove it's you. Try and use a normal name so it seems like you're just someone who hasn't used a fake name.
If you have to sign up with an email address, create a new one. If you need a phone number, get an additional sim.
My friend has done cam work for years and she does really well. One guys sends her Tesco vouchers, pays for all her food shopping and pays her to eat her meals at home on stream (weird).
Also, think, If someone sees you on there with connection to the school they're either 1. A male colleague or 2. A parent of a child. Neither one would be interested in outing themselves by saying they've seen you on there.
Cover your identity and you'll be fine. Get ready for some weirdos though.
