Woman at War 2018

DC has watched this at school. I havent seen it yet but have ordered it on dvd and in the meantime have googled commentaries and watched clips.

There seem to be 2 main themes from what I can gather - ecological and adoption of children in war.

Ecology - the woman is icelandic, middle aged, superfit, and decides to sabotage electricity flows and other things as a stand against damage being done by big business to ecology and in particular to threaten plans about a new aluminium plant. This film is being shown to children even though she is breaking the law, putting herself and potentially others at risk and her methods will not do any long term good.

Woman also wants to adopt a child from wartorn east Ukraine - ie this would be at the time of the civil war from 2014 which triggered what is happening there now, as the film was released 2018. The child is a girl of around 5 or 6 from Donetsk, loses parents and then grandparents in the shelling, is then adopted by icelandic woman who has no knowledge of her language or culture and taken many miles from everything she has ever known. Was this really a thing at that time, such arranged adoptions? By whom, who were the agencies?

Has anyone seen it? What do you think? Have I missed anything?

It sounds to me like a wet dream for anyone wanting to glorify civil unrest and prolongate trauma! Though gift wrapped with humour and charm.
