Not entirely clear, but I'd be suspecting some sort of scale insect.

KimberleyClark · 04/06/2024 12:28

They look like eggs.

Noshferatu · 04/06/2024 12:29

They are little aphids I think.. was it organic kale? I’d be surprised if these survived the spraying otherwise.
homegrown veg gets insect pests and a bit of vinegar in the washing water helps them let go but I wouldn’t be happy to buy a bag of prepped veg like this, they should have been washed off already.

SnakesAndArrows · 04/06/2024 12:30

Can you post a photo that’s in focus? They look abit like aphids to me.

TipsyKoala · 04/06/2024 12:32

Out of focus but looks like aphids. Just wash them off

Aphids=Protein

There’s loads of them so I couldn’t be sure I’d washed them all off. They were also on the kale in my previous packet so i think it’s a sign. Stick to Salt n Vinegar crisps.

I think you’re right 😀

Mothership4two · 04/06/2024 13:49

They look like cabbage whiteflies nymphs, but it's difficult to see. I'd take them back
