Hi, I've turned the Aga on for the first time but forgotten to take out the literature.

So the plastic has melted onto the bottom of the Aga in the bottom oven.

Please help in how to get it off.
I've tried peeling it off but most of it is thinly spread, so difficult to scrape.

There's enough for burning it off not to be the best solution

YABU, it won't come off.
YANBU, it can come off.

Thanks.

Is it electric?

Turn it off should scrape off easier if its cool

Thanks, yes, electric. Has cooled down buy its half to scrape off as don't want to damage it.

When the oven is cold use a bag of ice on top of the burnt plastic. This should help to make the plastic brittle.

It's too thin to be brittle if you know what I mean. And too thin to be peeled off.
Just stumped.

The ovens are robust.
The floors of mine are covered in spills etc, I brush out with a steel brush.

Thank you, I've braved it and scrapped it off. Then warmed it again to scrape off the last bits.
