If you can move a bed with a person on it

And pull it from where it was against the wall with them on it does this mean you can lift them? Or is it two different things

Different. Sliding is different to lifting off the floor.

That's why in A&E they slide patients from the gurney to the bed rather than lifting them over.

No wheels on the bed was just a normal bed

It's different - and much harder to lift someone safely.

Completely different. I can slide a sofa with or without somebody on it for as far as I have floor to slide it. Doesn't mean I can pick it up or pick up the person on it.
