To post flattering pictures on social media

Sometimes in a photo I look better than I do in real life. If the lighting is good I can look nice. Much much better than a photo of me in bad lighting. Is it embarrassing to use this for my social media profile pictures? I feel people will think it doesn't look like me or I may have altered the photo in some way.
I would not put on a filter or anything, just a photo taken in flattering lighting.

I think everyone does this? I mean I certainly don't upload minging photos of myself to social media 🤷‍♀️

It’s a rare person who shares awful photos of themselves on social media. In fact some people edit and filter so much that it actually looks like a different person. Go ahead and use it.

Don’t worry I got a professional photo taken, had my makeup done and hair out lovely and curly. I ran a week of workshops and the organiser happened to mention on the last day she reckoned I didn’t look like my photo 😂

to be fair my hair style changes my look a lot even more than makeup /lighting does so I’m sure it was that too - or at least I’m telling myself that 😅
