Prize at holiday park

Just wanted to get people's opinions on this.

We are staying at a John Fowler holiday park Saturday to Saturday.

There is another JF park nearby and you can use both entertainment venues and facilities.

Last night we went to the sister entertainment venue. There was a game show where you could open the box and win 25% off next any JF holiday park.

Toward the end of the show we guessed right and opened the right box. When we were given the voucher we were asked the accommodation number.

We gave that and explained we were staying at the sister site.

We were the told we couldn't claim the prize and were forced to donate to another family.

Aibu to think as you can use both sites you should be able to claim the prize?

It's hardly a prize though, is it? It's just a discount code. If you feel you would return, why not call head office and tell them what happened. Chances are they'll give you a code.

It’s a bit rubbish, but the last time we won something at a park dean we got a window sticker for the car, so I wouldn’t have had my hopes up anyway!

I agree with you OP, I’d email head office and ask them to clarify where it states in the terms and conditions that you can only use certain elements of the sister site (ie you can watch a show but not actively participate)

It’s likely in some tiny tiny t&c’s somewhere.

Bit of a poor prize though. I hate prizes and compo that basically mean you have to spend more money with the company. Sorry you had a bad holiday how does £100 off your next visit sound… no it was bad. Foods bad, here’s £50 off your next visit. Errr no.
