I’ve had pain under / in my left breast for weeks, like a dull ache. I’ve also developed a very ‘fiery’ nipple. Been to the doctor and had thorough checks due to unexplained chest pain, it is definitely not heart / lung related. Doctor asked if I can feel any lumps and I can’t. It hasn’t gone away and I’ve had it for weeks now. Pain killers and anti inflammatories make no difference. There is no history of breast cancer in the family. I am 44, not overweight and don’t smoke. Should I ask for a mammogram to rule out anything sinister? The pain sometimes spreads up into my left collarbone and neck but not the armpit. Any advice welcome!
