Back story…
My ex is and abuser, I am in the process of counselling, police records and and other things to make sense of my life from the age of 15-25 when I left him.
In that time I had three children with him.
Also in that time he abused drugs, beat me, emotionally, physically, sexually. I won’t go into details but it was a horrible time in my life.
He also went onto disability benefits, claiming mental health, while telling me he shouldn’t have to work if he gets money for free. In that time, I worked hard and and brought in the income. He also took this from me and spent it on drugs (weeds mostly).
I finally got free from him and went to uni and turned my life around for my kids. He didn’t see them for a lot of years because he wasn’t fit & he still isn’t.
Fast forward to them being teenagers and they wanted to know who he is. I went through social services to make its safe (long story).
two of them see him 1 night a fortnight and my eldest wants nothing to do with him.
Recently I put in a claim to child maintenance because I was fed up of him living his life with no responsibility while I struggled.
Today I received a call. He had told them he had more contact than he does. I confirmed this wasn’t true.
Then I received an email to say my claim had been updated and it says that I should be paid directly and that payment is £0. So basically I am entitled to nothing.
On a previous letter to him, it stated I should receive £30 a month and confirmation of his benefits.
So how has that changed to £0?
please can someone help me on what to do for my next steps.
He literally gets away from paying anything in life. Tax! Children! Debts! I’m fed up!
