Do you have navy/dark cabinets?

Hi, choosing the colour of my kitchen - have to give it to builders today.

I am umming and ahing whether to go light or dark. So a few years ago we put in very pale greige cabinets. Never shows fingerprints, was afraid that they would get wrecked but a 1 minute wipe every other day keeps them
spotless. Very happy with them.

We have moved again. It would be so easy to go with the greige but we are going
light with floors and having white walls so thought the kitchen could handle a more impactful colour like navy. Does this colour highlight dust/fingerprints? Kitchen is going to be VERY bright due to a wall of windows. I am a neat freak and don’t want to hyperfixate on keeping navy cabinets clean.

What are your experiences? Thanks in advance.

Our kitchen cabinets are dark (F&B Railings). A flick round with a damp cloth once a week is all I do to keep them looking fab.

Friends have said navy is very much of time but I don’t mind as I like it. Couldn’t do in old small, dark kitchen.

Thanks. Can I ask, are fingerprints more noticeable on your dark blue cabinets compared to other colours in your opinion?

I have navy cabinets in my laundry room. They do show the dust but don't show fingerprints so its swings and roundabouts.

We have dark green handleless, installed last Yr

It does show fingerprints but they are easy to keep clean - the front is totally smooth with nowhere to trap dirt

It's the ridges and nooks and crannies that get dirty, would never have a shaker style or anything with handles again

Navy is quite dated and very marmite. If you are thinking of reselling I’d go lighter. If you were happy with griege I’d go greige.
