What?? Runs off to find news and wine.

stripycats · 29/05/2024 20:16

What's funny is so many people think KS is weak and boring, but I do think he's ruthless but patient and bloody clever.

JennyForeigner · 29/05/2024 20:16

Sorry, not technically gone.

Suspended but unable to ask for re-selection.

Won't anyone think of the expensively public school-educated white male council leaders turned MPs? Such a tragedy for the misogynists in the Commons.

@stripycats Bang on. I really rate him, and what a huge bloody pleasure and a relief to be able to say that about the leader of the Labour Party.

Great news.

TheMithrasDirective · 29/05/2024 20:24

Really?! Why?

Excellent if true

SnakesAndArrows · 29/05/2024 20:26

Do we know what he’s been accused of? This is quite something…

sashagabadon · 29/05/2024 20:29

As much as I dislike LRM and pleased he won’t be a candidate this does sound like a complete set up. An anonymous complaint from 8 years ago and he received the letter yesterday and can’t defend himself as he doesn’t know what the complaint is.
that is no way to treat someone and if you wouldn’t like this done to someone you support you also shouldn’t be happy when done to someone you dislike.

i don’t think this is a “clever “ move by Starmer at all. I think it is foolish, shortsighted and dictatorial.
lrm can be defeated by his silly arguments.

JennyForeigner · 29/05/2024 20:32

Serious complaint, which LRM calls 'vexatious'.

Still, being a fragile, toxic MRA bully, what would he understand about the bravery it takes to come forward as a complainant in Westminster?

Hmm disagree it is a mistake. There is no statute of limitations on being able to make a complaint, and an organisation can only respond to a complaint once made. They cannot delay or otherwise amend the timing because that would be clearly unreasonable decision making.

I've worked in Westminster and it is a toxic pit. Genuinely grotesque and wicked - the 'self-employment' of MPs is a corrosive acting on character. I default to believing complainants because I have seen how much there is to complain about, and how dreadfully high the barriers are to doing so.

Mind you, the Tories are 1,000 times worse.

I bet the fascist baby put in the complaint 😅
