What on Earth is this on my skin?

I’ve been getting these white things all over my body for a few years now.

Its like small, white chalky blisters but when I scratch them the white comes away and bleeds, so it leaves lots of little small cuts behind.

My stomach and legs are covered and I’ve now got this one (photo attached) on my arms.

I have healthy anxiety and I’m making myself sick with worry.

sorry that probably seems dramatic but I can’t find anything remotely like this on Google and I keep getting stories about skin cancer pop up everywhere I go!

Could it be psoriasis?

Glitterybee · 29/05/2024 19:39

I don’t think so as there’s no red/crusty patches

Calcium deposits

My mum used to get these all the time, they weren't a problem at all.

Skin tags?

why not make a GP appointment? I went recently to get moles and cherry anginomas (?) looked at. She put me at ease instantly and was certain that all looked ok.

Go to your doctor, especially if you've had these for years....he'll put your mind at rest.

Glitterybee · 29/05/2024 22:32

I know I need to do that… My GP told me to stay off google and rolled her eyes at me the last time I was there, so that put me off.

but I’ll definitely do that.

thanks for all the replies

Google lens brings up lots of things including keratin plugs and psoriasis. If you’re worried you need to go to the doctors x x

Turbulent1 · 30/05/2024 09:06

Try looking up stucco keratosis

Ask to see your pharmacist. I had had a raised patch on my hand that google suggested could be skin cancer. The very same day, I saw the pharmacist in my local Tesco who said it looked fungal and sold me a tube of cream for a few pounds. He did say to go back if there was no improvement in a week, but there was a significant improvement and it was gone completely within a month. No appointment, no waiting time and job sorted!
