I live in a hamlet. I posted on the hamlet FB page asking if anyone wanted an open bag of treats my cat didn't like in case any of my neighbours wanted them. I got a message from someone I didn't know asking for them. I said yes.

She then sent a message asking whether I ever passed through a local village 20 mins away. I said no.

She then asked whether I passed through a nearby town, also 20 mins away. I said no, I actually WFH.

Next message, "don't you ever go out then?"

I had to be blunt and say I wasn't prepared to do a 40 min round trip to deliver an 80p open bag of cat treats!

CF?

Total CF! Good for you in responding that way and you could also have said: “Don’t you ever go out then? Not even for free treats?!”

I always enjoy the YouTube channel EmKay when they read out CF posts from Reddit - the voice artists are hilarious, in particular Robin.

I think you can just be blunt in situations like this. "Sorry, it's just a bag of cat treats and not something I want to go out of my way for. I'll just bin them if nobody wants to collect them".

A few years ago DH advertised a computer monitor on Freecycle. A CF expressed an interest and then asked if he would deliver it 15 miles away. DH refused.
