He cancelled on me/dd around 3 weeks ago, he has seen her since but I can’t get this comment out of my head. Dd is 2.

He cancelled as he’d had a stressful week and didn’t want to travel!!! He’s only 1.5 hours away. I work full time and don’t have a break for even a moment, all week every week. It’s not the first time he’s been selfish, he doesn’t have her overnight or anything. His choice, he can’t be arsed basically. I told him it was awful to cancel last minute… he said ‘some people don’t see their kids for six months or a year.’ This comment has really bothered me… am I being over the top?

YANBU. He's prepping you for him not seeing her.

Personally I'd be asking him what's stopping you doing the same to him?

Sounds like you’re being slow faded. I wouldn’t be surprised if you didn’t hear from him until her birthday or Christmas whichever is sooner

Pathetic isn't it, like they endorse a race to the bottom.

Hmm wouldn't bother me would be nice to have a warning since my ex would just usually not show up. He once cancelled because it was raining so could be worse 🤷‍♀️

Just feel so uncomfortable that he could even say something like that. I try and pretend he’s not a scumbag but unfortunately I know deep down he’s not a good man. Feel so awful for DD.
