Yes, very much looking forward to kicking them out!

I'm honestly not understanding the post.

Red's my favourite colour, but I can't get excited about one rosette or the other. In five years time you'll all be clamouring to get rid of the useless one-term Tory Lites and ready to back the Tories under some handsome, clean cut young leader who's currently biding his time over at Goldman Sachs. Unless you're on the old left, who will continue to be politically homeless (and quite possibly literally homeless, the way things are going).

Nah, I can't get too excited about it.

Labour have got an immense uphill struggle to deal with all the s*it produced over the last 14 years, but at least there will be some hope things will improve.

General election in the 4th of July

I don’t think it will happen, there are plenty of people out there who think the Tory’s care about them and then you have the other, who agree but keep it secret.

lhlh · 22/05/2024 20:25

Op you had better not thank God until you are sure that something better is on offer.

The first GE I was ever able to vote in was in (1997). Labour got in. The leaflet I received prior to that election promised that Labour wouldn't charge university tuition fees. Tuition fees started in 1998. WTF.

They're all liars - be careful what you wish for.

I wish for complete political reform and divorce of the NHS from politics.

iamwhatiam23 · 22/05/2024 20:36

I think labour will win but i don't think it will be the landslide that everyone thinks! Most people i know or have spoken to about a GE are not planning to vote ( myself included) on the basis that they are all as vile and hypocritical as one another!

Who's going to fund the improvements when most of the top taxpayers leave?

RosaRoja · 22/05/2024 23:13

Where are the top taxpayers going to?

Uni fees. Introduced at £1000, jumped to £9000 with the Tory-Lib Dem coalition. Wasn’t Clegg “sorry, sorry, so sorry” about it?
