I know I know. Who watches this crap..
I've been enjoying watching it recently, it's helping me mindlessly spend a bit of time in my stressful life.
It's made me realise that I thought I was pretty clued up on racism/ micro aggressions etc.
However, I'm not and Garcelle keeps bringing things up.
Where can I go to educate myself on this ? I've watched some videos, read some articles but some of the stuff that Garcelle brings up- I wouldn't think was a micro aggression. For example, another woman told her she ' felt attacked 'and Garcelle explained you can't ever say that to a black woman. You also can't call a black woman aggressive.
In any case, I am white obviously. I understand that black people don't need to be educating us, but where can I actually get educated properly on these micro aggressions?
I don't want to be a bigot. I don't think I am, but I just don't want to get it wrong.
