To ask if I can have a police record for this

Please be gentle. I was in a mental health unit under section me and and other patient got out one day. Which I know was very unacceptable. When this happened a staff member fell to the floor. He fell twice once while still inside and once while outside. He then accused me of dragging him from behind and pulling him to the floor I honestly did not touch him. There were then multiple different stories that I had punched him to the floor etc. I also got the blame for cuts he sustained when it’s clearly from the fall he had outside when I was no where near him. They reported it to the police. The police never came out to see me or ask for my side of the story however I recently went missing linked to my mental health and saw on paperwork sent to my GP that I had been reported for “assaulting staff” could I still have a record for this even though if I had spoke to police I wouldn’t have accepted a caution for it as I didn’t do it. If it’s relevant the hospital is known for poor practice even to the police.

No you haven’t been arrested or. Cautioned they have just put notes on your record for a warning to staff you may be aggressive. Over time this will be shown to be inaccurate.

You can ask for your records to be corrected if this is not true. It is quite serious if you are saying a false allegation was made.

Do you have anyone who could help to advocate for you, could help you find out how to correct the record?

I do not have enough knowledge to answer the specific question about the record, hopefully someone else will be along soon.

I think it will just be part of an internal risk assessment. If police were not called it won’t be on record. Don’t worry. X

Wouldn’t the unit you were in have had CCTV that would have shown that you never touched the staff member in question? Surely you’ll be fine if the police never even spoke to you.

Unfortunately in that part of the hospital there is no cctv so no
