Mixing raw meat with other items in shopping bags

I just received an Ocado delivery as they were the only shop I could find that would deliver the right baking ingredients for a birthday cake. I had forgotten that they just mix up raw meat with other food items and thats the reason I stopped shopping with them ages ago. Unfortunately today the raw chicken had leaked juices onto some other items.

I don't understand why they don't put raw meat together in its own bag, like every other supermarket. Is it just me that thinks this? I am the only vegetarian in a meat eating household so prepared to be told it's fine and not nasty if thats the majority opinion.

Meat shouldn’t leak. Assuming it doesn’t then it’s as clean as anything else that’s been in a warehouse…

If the meat did leak you’ve got a different problem as any protective environment the meat was in is busy. And yes, I wouldn’t want meat juice on other groceries (although most packaging would wipe clean if not paper).
