Aurora maybe visible tonight
Its a Red alert at present

Hoping it holds on till dark

Unfortunately the AuroraWatch App isn't especially accurate. It just tells you what current activity levels are in Shetland.

Not to put a downer on it, but I've been out in multiple "red alerts" and seen nothing, sadly.

Indeed the aurora app alone is much better than the watch app

There are multiple apps and sites where you put your postcode in and it will tell you for your area

We are currently at 11% change with it increasing a percentage everytime it updates however currently forcast clouds.

Which forecast are people looking at?

I’m in East Midlands. I’ve seen the pictures that give a more realistic idea of what I’m looking for

We've been in the green for most of the evening but with complete cloud cover, now the green has moved far up north away from us and the bloody sky is clear 🙄 typical

Some places have seen them tonight but nothing like last Friday’s

Is saturday night a chance does anyone know?

It's incredibly rare to see them at all at this time of year - last weekend was a real freak event.
