Could this be kidney infection or food poisoning?

Had a takeaway last night from somewhere we normally get food from. All tasted fine. Also had a couple of glasses of wine. Woke up this morning feeling really nauseous. Haven't been able to eat all day as my stomach just feels really off. Have been having small sips of water. No sickness or diarrhoea. Since lunch time I've now got a fever and feel really achey all over as well as a headache. Especially uncomfortable around my sides and groin area. The last few days I've also needed to pee constantly which is why I thought maybe a uti type thing. But it hasn't been cloudy or hurt to pee. Haven't felt this rough in ages and hoping it doesn't turn in to anything worse!

Anyone?

I felt exactly like that the last two days and this afternoon started feeling much better. Still feel tired and heavy though.

Two of my FB friends are complaining of the same symptoms so I reckon it's a bug going around.

Currently sat on the sofa with this. Had the day off work.

Just felt really sick since 2 am but managed to hold off being sick till 1pm.

Then it just feels like my body's shut down. I'm so tired and achy and cold.

My DD had it in the week and she got it from her Dad. He also thought out was food poisoning.

Impossible to say really. I had kidney problems in 2022 (plumbing issues) and it meant I would get kidney infections regularly but they were high up in the kidney so urine was always clear. It did feel like shivery, headaches, unwell in general but I also had obvious flank pain down my right side. It felt very similar to having a virus though and wouldn't have been able to put my finger on a kidney infection the first time and thought it was gastric until I ended up in A&E. Sounds like something that I had recently. Shivers and fatigue, really achy all over, but not a cold. Really knocked me for six. I wanted to blame the Chinese takeaway but no D&V so must have been some kind of virus.

Sorry to hear you all suffered too! I managed to see a gp last night and they said it's a kidney infection as the pain in my sides had become quite a lot worse by then. Now on antibiotics so hopefully they will kick in soon!
