Is the “Child’s unique reference number” on the Child Trust Fund account the same as the NI number?

My fault, it’s lost in a jungle of paperwork somewhere.

This thread has prompted me to think if my own 17 year old can lay his hands on his national insurance number 🤔
I remember him getting it..
