Bought some Breakfast pasties from Asda. They are meant to contain sausage, bacon, potato, mushrooms and baked beans. Yummy. Here's what I got! First world problem, I Know, but what a piss take!

Blimey that's poor. Asda are usually better than that

Ragingbull1 · 17/05/2024 11:41

It's actually a branded item as well - Pukka!

I think so much of our food is really low quality, especially baked goods. There's a lot of things I don't buy as I know the bulk of it will just be the cheapest ingredient with a token amount of the other stuff. Like the big fruit pies you can get. 95% pastry, that's what it tastes like anyway.

That's what I find depressing about the rising cost of food. If it was better quality I'd at least feel I was getting something decent for the money.

Ginkypig · 17/05/2024 12:27

I just bought the new patak’s pouches as a quick dinner recently. Bought a couple of each one that Tesco had for sale to try.

After two pouches of the potato & cauliflower neither contained even a single tiny bit of cauliflower!

hugely disappointing!

not hijacking your awful pukka disgrace! Just adding my own disappointing product.

That's disgraceful!

KnitnNatterAuntie · 17/05/2024 12:47

Well I think you've got a small piece each of sausage, bacon, potato & mushroom and one baked bean so it's all there as described!😖😂

Seriously, that's disgraceful and I would expect a lot better from that brand. Just wondering if something went wrong at the end of the batch. Are you going to show Asda customer services the photo on your next visit? Definitely worth a refund at the very least . . . .

Ragingbull1 · 18/05/2024 13:55

I couldn't find an e-mail address, so I messaged them on twitter with a photo. They have sent me an e-voucher refund!

I find this a lot recently. Most goods are really low quality, even independent pasties contain very little meat.

LetsBePositive10 · 18/05/2024 14:01

I’m getting fed up with poor quality items. Not just food - although fresh items are dire - service and services too. I’m complaining more and more as everything is getting to be so expensive.l and I’m not getting what I paid for.

SensualDecay · 18/05/2024 15:46

The Waitrose Baba ghanoush has been padded out with chickpeas, which massively pisses me off and I think is very underhanded.

Ragingbull1 · 18/05/2024 17:11

I had a wrap the other day, that had 3 tiny bits of chicken in it. I've also had wraps that have all the filling at the top where you can see, and then an empty bottom. Not on!

Yes, I’m seeing these tricks too. Premium meal desk price for limited content. Not food related but Ive just complained to Rituals and Homebase about poor products/service. Rituals as my product stained my shower but ‘apparently’ I was using it incorrectly. The store manager made a huge show of testing my product in front of customers and refusing an exchange. Customer services disagreed with her. And I got an £15 voucher. Homebase after a non-delivery charged at £6 said they had to make enquiries with the courier. And then they confirmed the item had never been dispatched. Got a £10 voucher for that too as well as my delivery charge refunded. I didn’t ask for this. It was just affected as they could see what had happened.

CoffeeAndPeanuts · 18/05/2024 18:13

that looks awful. I'm vegetarian but that aside it sounded good!

I'll see if I can attach a photo of my recent disappointment.

CoffeeAndPeanuts · 18/05/2024 18:15

Try again, here

It keeps telling me I HAVE to enter a message! Is this not a message FFS
