Katie Price legally signed off from attending court

Katie, 45, said she had been legally signed off by a psychiatrist and a consultant doctor - and has been receiving outpatient treatment at The Priory.

The mum insisted she is taking her court proceedings "very seriously" and has been found mentally incapable of being cross-examined in front of the public and the media.

I hope she can get some proper help. Anyone can see she is not mentally well.

Absolutely disgraceful. A total piss take. I really feel like not paying my tax bill in July. Why should I pay when she doesn't bother and there are no consequences?

I was taken to family court repeatedly by my ex over many years. All of it trivial and a result of the mediation process failing totally. I now have total stress over anything to do with lawyers or court. But I was not a party at fault. I wouldn't get signed off like that. I don't believe the supposed professional opinion.

You don't get excused from court with no good reason. Ms. Price is clearly unwell. Is this even true though? I mean, you've linked to that shitty rag. Wouldn't trust a thing they say.

The professionals who are dealing with the facts are best placed to decide whether she has sufficient capacity to be in court right now.

We only know what the media tell us, not her medical records.

I'm no fan but this speculation and slagging when we don't really know what's going on with her will surely be part of the decision to protect her.

Oh come on. She was on holiday with a boyfriend a couple of weeks ago. It's a total piss take and the money she owes the taxman goes towards paying for the essential services everyone needs. I can't believe people are defending her.

I agree she isn't well. That's been obvious for a decade or so.

But you can't be well enough to be interviewed for a media report if you aren't well enough to be interviewed in court because the media will be there.

But she has REPEATEDLY ignored the court. Flouted numerous driving bans. Evaded tax. And goes on holiday when she's supposed to be in court.

Sorry, she should be in jail IMO. Please do not use mental health as an excuse for her. There's a simple right and wrong situation here!

It's not her. It's the principles of capacity, expert witnesses, due process, Court process and on and on. She's probably taking the piss. Better that than all the cases of people lacking capacity being tried for crimes and interviewed without capacity. I was an appropriate adult for years and you'd be amazed.

One idiot might get off for a while (OK another while) but the principle that people should be able to defend themselves and capacity is required is important.

She hasn't been signed off court. She has to appear in July. She also claims she is going to court to stop her house being repossessed at the end of the month. She needs to make her mind up! Can she attend court or not. She has appeared at family court enough times recently and lost, so she has lost custody of the youngest 2 kids.

She is a grifter pure and simple and is making a mockery of honest people who pay their bills and debts.

You would think that health professionals can’t be bought in order to say what the “customer” wants in a report but sadly some can.
Many years ago I had to see two different expert witness psychiatrists, one paid for by my solicitors, the other paid for by the other side.
Strangely both psychiatrists were able to write completely opposing reports on my health which were helpful to the needs of the side which was paying their bill.
I suspect Katie Price has found someone happy to write a report to say what she wants said.

Absolute piss taker this woman is.

She was at the local bowling alley with her kids last Saturday.

She was in the Isle of Wight on Saturday, numerous sightings of her by locals and pictures taken and also from her own social media.

It's so sad the way her life has turned out, and I fear the most tragic part is yet to come.

Her old rival Jodie Marsh randomly showed up on my Tiktok the other day. She lives a completely different life now and has ditched the glamour and lives on an animal sanctuary with over 200 dogs, cats, horses, goats, and cows. I hope Katie can find peace someday.

Ernest Saunders, the only person to ever “recover” from Alzheimer’s, was the epitome of this. Made a complete mockery of the system. It should have to be a court assigned doctor making any diagnosis that a court is going to give weight to for this sort of thing.

Now I am laughing at your post. For many years I have believed that I was the only person left standing who remembers Ernest Saunders "recovering" from Alzheimers. I worked in the City at the time of his disgrace. It was a really big deal and I followed the subsequent court cases with close interest. But on here I have been told by "lawyers" that that was not what happened. No I wasnt in the court room - but those of us who had integrity in the City were appalled. Thank you for posting and I probably would agree with the rest of your post - but family court and CAFCASS. Court assigned sadly doesn't always mean quality or sense either. Shame, it should.
