Come on Mumsnet, I know you’re just interested in making money out of our dilemmas but could you have a little bit of quality control with these ads? Especially when many people post about their domestic violence situations….

Agree. Have tagged you in a thread on site stuff about adverts. Which has been mostly ignored for months

Itiswhysofew · 15/05/2024 11:45

I don't pay attention to the ads.

Bad form, mumsnet.

Cosmosforbreakfast · 15/05/2024 11:48

What on Earth are those ads for?! I have an ad blocker so don't see them. And yes, it is bad form. MN needs to do better.

hjrl · 15/05/2024 12:02

@Cosmosforbreakfast so do I but on the app they are now standard apparently. Even thought they are new, which is denied. Gambling, domestic violence, crazy

TipsyKoala · 15/05/2024 12:31

I thought exactly the same when I saw these ads

DinnaeFashYersel · 15/05/2024 12:35

@MNHQ these adverts are all over the site.

It's not good enough

Pearlinda · 15/05/2024 12:48

I just clicked on the Jeremy Clarkson one…don’t know why, never actually click on ads. It takes you to a fake Guardian article which is selling bet rich quick scheme. So bad. It’s got the guardian banner at the top.

it really needs taking down!

Toxicinlawz · 15/05/2024 12:53

I've had these all morning so cleared cookies and they went away.. I didn't realise it was mumsnet hosting them i thought it was cookies that place random ads on your viewing pages. 😫

childlessandfree · 15/05/2024 14:55

MN needs to sort more than just their adds out.

Fimofriend · 15/05/2024 15:20

Oh, I get it: Mumsnet is for women - Women are stupid - let's allow scam adverts.

Great! Thanks. We did get that this wasn't exactly feminism central when posters got banned for acknowledging that men in dresses are men and when the feminist chat got hidden among "All talk topics", but seriously? Scam adverts?

i would also request more comments be deleted if they dont add information to the ops op, to many get derailed then pull the thread but why should some spoil x thread for the rest of us trying to help or read the threads.
