Lemon in hair 🍋

Will it work?

I read that putting lemon juice on your hair and sitting in the sun can give natural highlights?
Will it also cover a few annoying greys? I’ve never had highlights and don’t want to commit unless completely necessary. Is the a genuine way or just B.S

I’ve been known to sit in the garden with lemons on my head. It did work.

Aren't you meant to squeeze them?.

I can taste it in the air. 😲

@DiscoBeat yes sorry I cut them in half and squeezed them over my head and then wore the halves on top of my head whilst gardening.

Would lemon juice lighten caramel highlights to go lighter and blonder?

I've started using John Frieda's Defy Grey shampoo and conditioner. First go didn't seem to do much but second attempt I left it on longer and it's working. Grey now looks more like light brown highlights and non-grey now starting to look more brown. Worth a go as it's basically a weak henna shampoo (so won't last too long if you don't like it). Apparently the effect strengthens the more you use it.

I used this for about a year. While it covered my greys really well I did have to get it bleached out by the hairdresser as it left some colour in permanently (took her 2 sessions to lift it all out).
