To send eldest child to childcare when I’m not working?

Torn about this. I work 3 days a week and have two children. The eldest starts school September 25 but is one of the older ones.

I am considering sending him to preschool 2 mornings a week when I’m not working. This gives me time to do an activity with the younger one that he wouldn’t be bothered about and means he may meet children he’ll be at school with.

OTOH I feel a bit guilty.

So more of a WWYD?

Nearly all children attend pre school before starting school so no issue. I remember going and my mum was a stay at home parent. My brother went to. That was 30 odd years ago.

Sounds like a good idea to me.

It's really beneficial for him to meet the children he will be at school with and start forming those relationships.

Many parents deliberately move their child to the pre school associated with the school for exactly this reason.

Don't feel guilty

Thanks. His school doesn’t actually have a preschool attached to it so the preschool is a bit of a mix.

My hesitation is he’s at nursery 3 days a week for childcare then 2 mornings at preschool. Feels a lot?
