Can I claim this on travel insurance?

Due to go on holiday Wednesday but husband was in hospital Wednesday and Thursday with serve tummy pain which was diagnosed as gastritis and constipation.

Today he's throwing up feces (so sorry) and is back in hospital and I imagine he'll need some sort of medical intervention.

Is this something you can claim on travel insurance or do you have to be unwell abroad to claim?

You will need to check the specifics of your policy but often you can claim if illness prevents you going on holiday, yes.

You will need a letter from a doctor saying he is too unwell to travel. Ring the ward and ask them if the doctor will write a letter to that effect. It sounds like they will.
