To ask for hope for back pain?

I've had pretty bad lower back pain for 2 weeks now. It's worst in the morning and seems to also cause pain in my legs. But it's not sciatica (GP said) as it's not shooting pain and it doesn't feel like nerve pain. The osteo thought it's just muscular but it's been over 2 weeks and no relief. My right arm also feels really heavy and achey and gets worse when I use it.

I'm seeing a physio tomorrow and hoping he can help - perhaps it's all related and tight muscle groups or something? I've had bloods and they're all normal and vitamin levels are good. Just feeling very hopeless and depressed. I know that might seem an overreaction but I already live with one chronic health condition and terrified this is the start of something else. Please can someone calm me down and give hope that it'll go away 😥

I've been moving around, walking, stretching, keeping a good posture etc. My whole body just feels so awful.

Ah, I’m so sorry. This sounds awful. Not an over-reaction at all. I had cancer treatment last year and bizarrely my feel much more low about my probable osteoporosis and osteoporosis aged 46. Just a sense of my body failing and potentially being managing a chronic, degenerative condition.

Good luck with physio tomorrow. And maybe go back to GP if you still don’t have answers. It’s hard to push and advocate for yourself, but if it’s impacting your life, then it’s worth following up.

It might not be relevant to you, but I had sudden awful shoulder and arm pain for a couple of months at the start of this year. Really restricted my moment and day to day activities. I did lots and lots of stretching every day and it had a really big impact. I used to do a lot of yoga, so used my knowledge of that but also used You Tube videos. At first I had to do twice a day to keep on top of pain, but now I only need to do a couple of times a week and I’m largely pain free - unless I accidentally do a sudden jerky movement.
