There has been a few problems at the school but it has now come out that there has been drug dealing at the school gates at pick up. Would you change schools for this?

To be honest.....you'd be hard to find a secondary where this doesn't happen.
Sad but true.
(I am assuming it's secondary)

Only if school tried to minimise it or didn’t have a plan with Police to stop it.

Sorry should have said, it’s primary and it’s some of the parents!!

Surely the school are putting measures in place to deal with this? With the police?

No I wouldn't unsettle my child for something that is nothing to do with them.

Needmorelego · 10/05/2024 12:37

If it's primary then the police and the staff need to be told (if they haven't).
Have they been told?

Leeds2 · 10/05/2024 12:39

How did you find out?

Bluevelvetsofa · 10/05/2024 12:40

Is the school aware that it’s happening? If they are, what steps have they taken to stop it.

If it’s parents, then what about police involvement.

Id be concerned, certainly, but I’d want to know how it was being tackled. If it wasn’t, then I’d find another school. If there were robust plans in place, I’d wait to see if that stopped it.

I wouldn't change school for that. The school can't be held responsible for how the parents behave. As long as they were taking measures to address the issue then I'd be content they were doing all they could.
