Were they trying to put me off the job?

I had a job interview on Friday and as they were explaining what their company do they said things like ‘it’s not very exciting’ and ‘sometimes they get difficult clients’ and that it can be frustrating. Does this sound like they were trying to put me off?

Probably trying to be honest as I suspect they are looking for someone who can deal with dull and challenging and be resilient.

I suspect they were looking to see how you responded to being confronted with the fact that it can be a challenging work environment to see if you would be the person they are looking for. I expect it was part of the interview process.
