I still get excited when the post arrives. God knows what I think will come through the door but I'm ever hopeful of some excitement.

Not today but recently, a parcel of secondhand books I’d ordered. Hours of binge-reading pleasure!

No Post today but recent parcels have included a toilet flush handle (old one was rusted) and this was 9 quid and Victorian style and looks great !

Bank Holiday, no post today but some bits I'd ordered for a craft project came on Saturday.

My best friend from school and I regularly exchange short letters and postcards. Recently she sent me a book she thought I'd like. We have other ways of being in touch, of course, but in our mid 60s still recognise the pleasure of a handwritten message.

Bank Holiday here, so no post. But tomorrow I am getting an Andy Warhol cat bag, glitter body paint, a picnic set and some solar-powered lights. Random selection but will feel like Christmas has come early!

I got a t shirt.

My OH got a new phone as his smashed and he is now muttering about WhatsApp updating and all that nonsense.

No post but Amazon bought another huge box of tat. DH’s 60th in the week. He doesn’t want a fuss so I’ve ordered banners to go down the front of the house, balloons etc etc. Am having a day off to do up the house. He will be pkeased, honestly!

Amazon are bringing me a sunhat. No post as it's a bank holiday. Hoping tomorrow's post brings my new base coat and nail wraps

No post due to bank holiday but I have a lot of stuff coming tomorrow. Just moved to a new house so I have furniture deliveries from Wayfair and IKEA and have a few bits coming from Amazon too.

Bank holiday so nothing

2 kids skipping ropes, a ten pack of moth traps, a drip coffee set and a reminder letter from specsavers. We didn’t get any of our neighbours post today, which is unusual. I’m starting to think the postie needs his eyes checked.

No post, bank holiday here too, but my new orange bum bag is due to be delivered soon. I got it in preparation of summer dog walks, so no coat pockets to put treats and poo bags in. And I decided on orange so I can find it easily, it works really well with my lipstick red handbag.

Amazon brought me protein powder, spirulina, gardening gloves, woodlice killer (our house seems to have an infestation!) and a bag of minstrels.

None as bank holiday. Last post we got was a birthday card for my mum, and a massive bill, also for my mum. I never get anything now. Used to get loads of junk mail but that seems to have dropped off. Got a shower cleaning squeegee the other day. Gripping stuff! Lol

No post here today but we had a delivery of rabbit bedding and a some “catering” style glass tumblers as ours break if we even look at them.

Not from the postman, but the coastguard shoved a postcard through the letter box to say thank you for the bag of clothes we'd left out for their charity collection.

• Alexa diddy, or whatever it's called, so I don't have to leave my phone on all night to listen to audiobooks
• cheerleading Pom Pom's for DS who is autistic and likes to fiddle with them
