When did it peak?

Also did omeprazole work for you and if so, how quickly?

Have just realised my baby has silent reflux. They're 4 months old and I feel terrible I didn't realise before. They're waking every 30 mins around the clock so I'm just very very keen to get this situation improved.

Can't remember precisely the worst point but it didn't go when weaned, as promised by no end of people. Poor ds spent his first two years with a bib around him (bandana style dribble bib as he got older) and I had muslins over my shoulder pretty much the whole time.

Sorry to be the bearer of bad news :-(
On plus side, no issues at 10 years old!

Omeprazole helped but wasn't a miracle cure. Had a combo of Gaviscon sachets (pretty much useless), Omeprazole and Infacol.

Don't feel bad, we were constantly fobbed off with "it's colic / that's what babies do." It took weight dropping so he slipped down centiles and hv happening to witness him bringing up an entire feed before anyone believed me.

Also ended up seeing a dietician as he got older and had to put butter or cheese in with everything he ate to try to get extra calories into him. He still loves cheese to this day!

Hi!
We had terrible issues with reflux when baby was born - we decided to get her assessed (privately) for oral dysfunction. Turned out she has a restrictive tongue tie (NHS don't diagnose/ help) reflux is common but not normal in babies. There is always a reason behind it. Definitely ask for a second opinion. Giving medication is just masking the symptoms rather than fixing the actual cause.
