Didn't used to like the phrase but as I've gotten older I've realised they are the only type of friendships to survive.
We are all so busy with life, work and kids that we rarely see each other and often go a while without talking too. But when we do it's never awkward and we have such a great time.
On the other hand I have friends who have become offish with me if I'm not able to meet at the drop of the hat or accuse me of being 'funny' if I don't message for a few days. Being busy doesn't seem to cut it and because of the accusations and pass agg attitude I really don't want to see them because I know it'll be awkward.
I know friendships require effort but I'm so grateful for the friends I have that understand how busy life is (as it is for them) and are happy with the odd WhatsApp and meet up. We all know in a crisis we'd be there for each other but day to day we plod along with no bad feeling.
Sorry not an aibu really just thoughts. What do you guys think?
