To think this message was a good sign?!

I have been job searching for quite some time and have started to email my cv and cover letter directly to the hiring manager as well.

I applied for a position I am very interested in and got this response from the would be line manager.

”Many thanks for reaching out, and we hope to be in touch soon!”

I am really hoping to secure something (SAHM returning to working) and am going a bit mad with rejection. Does that message seem positive to you or just standard?

YANBU - good sign
YABU - standard reply, you’re reading too much into it

To add, my experience is that I often get ignored especially if nothing comes of the application!

I think it's a good sign in as much as the company has good practice, but I would think it's their standard reply. Good luck OP
