Hi all,

I had a job interview yesterday and they said I'd know by the end of the week.

Nothing today, do you still think I have a chance of getting it?

I've convinced myself they would have called me today if I was successful and just feeling a bit anxious about it!

It’s not the end of the week yet, in a work situation I would probably class that as about 5:30 ish on the Friday.

them not contacting you today doesn’t mean anything as they never said they would.

They may still be interviewing, they may not have had time to discuss the candidates, they may be waiting to talk to HR or a more senior colleague to authorise offering the role. There are loads of reasons why they haven’t been in touch. Try not to worry.

No, I’d assume they were thinking of making a decision on Friday.

Going by the timelines of jobs I’ve interviewed for, I wouldn’t be surprised not to hear anything by Wednesday next week either.

I was on an interview panel once OP and there was a formal debrief and scoring process that followed the interview and it took ages. You need to give them chance. Good luck!!!

Personally I think "end of the week" could easily last as long as COB Tuesday!
