As above, what’s happened to CBeebies these days? The programs are rubbish, just one animation after another.
What’s happened to all the programs with real people?
Cheap tv I guess.

Maybe you have just got too old for it?

There are loads of programmes with real people in! Something Special, Baby Club, Teletubbies, Andy's Adventures, Teeny Tiny Creatures, Maddie's How It's Made (etc), Grace's Amazing Machines, Molly and Mack, Waffle the Wonder Dog, Katie Morag, Big Cook Little Cook, World Kitchen...

This thread keeps coming up every few weeks or so. Weird.

TurquoiseDress · 02/05/2024 11:30

We love Molly & Mack!!

SalmonWellington · 02/05/2024 11:32

Sarah and Duck plus Numberblocks are worth the licence fee by themselves.

Jegersur · 02/05/2024 11:32

There are lots of programmes with real people in! I think CBeebies is especially good for that. A lot more than you’d get elsewhere.

CelesteCunningham · 02/05/2024 11:36

Love cbeebies. No ads, all of the programmes have a decent message and no boys = superheroes, girls = princesses BS. The links between programmes cover all sorts of useful and educational stuff.

Ours have discovered Disney+, which in fairness isn't as bad as I feared, but I do miss cbeebies.

Nooneknows99 · 02/05/2024 11:51

Well there may well be several programmes using actors/ presenters but nowhere near as many as there are animated ones.
I still think the standard has deteriorated over the years.

Nooneknows99 · 02/05/2024 13:43

I miss the oldies… I Can Cook, Balamory, Tikkabilla, Show me, Show me, Mister Maker etc.

The numbertaker was the number fucker-upper. That’s what it always sounded like anyway!
